A homoeopathic consultation is longer and more detailed than most people expect. The doctor wants to know not just what the problem is, but how it affects you: when it started, what makes it better or worse, and how you sleep, eat and feel.
- Write down your main complaints and when each one started.
- Note what makes them better or worse: weather, food, time of day, stress.
- Bring recent blood tests, scans and all current prescriptions.
- For a child, note how often they fall ill and how each illness usually begins.
Be open about everything, even details that seem unrelated. Small things like a craving for certain foods or feeling worse in the evening can help the doctor choose between remedies.
Keep taking any medicines prescribed by other doctors unless they tell you otherwise.
